Okay, let’s veer away from all the news and serious stuff about cars for a moment. Let’s get a little bit more personal and teach ourselves some car tips that would help bring out the car mechanic in us. It will even help us save a lot of cash in the long run so doing repairs and maintenance ourselves is really a good thing.
I’m not really a mechanic as I just own my own ride but knowing a thing or two about maintaining my car has helped me a lot. Try out these tips that I stumbled upon some years back.
1. Repair/Car Manuals. These manuals may be a bit hard to understand at first but just take time to scan them and read and you’ll find out they actually have a lot of helpful maintenance tips and repair instructions that you can easily follow. I don’t need to repeat again why these tips are important, right?
2. Engine Tuning. Have your car’s engine tuned annually to avoid driving with a broken spark plug or a faulty fuel injector. These are not normally noticeable so it is recommended you take your car to its annual tune up.
3. Tires. Believe it or not one factor of fuel inefficiency is actually under-inflated tires. This maintenance is easy so there’s no reason for you not to do it or neglect it.
4. Vehicle lights. These are important to ensure safety so always check if the headlights, tail lights, and other lights are in good condition.
5. Engine Belts. Be sure they are not already worn out as these will obviously affect performance.
6. Discount Coupons. We can’t really prevent our cars’ parts from getting worn out because of exhaustion. Of course, some are expensive but if you look for your won trusted discount couponwebsites, you can save some cash.
7. Air Filter. You don’t want your engine burning up some unwanted air particle or contaminants, right? So better check I regularly and clean I when necessary to rid it off its dust and dirt. And if it has formed a hole or crack, replace it immediately.
There are really a lot of tips and I can’t sum them up here so these are just some of them. Feel free to surf around and find the best car tips that will suit you and your beloved ride.
Enjoy taking care of your set of wheels!
